The situation
Running my own retail business meant putting up with a point-of-sale system that didn’t match how the business actually sold: inventory disconnected from sales, reports that arrived late, and manual processes that ate hours every week.
I needed a system built around the operation, not the other way around.
What I built
SimplePOS: a complete web-based point of sale, designed, developed and deployed by me on modern cloud infrastructure.
It handles sales, inventory, customers and reports in real time, and includes a custom AI agent that monitors the operation and surfaces anomalies.
I use it daily in my own business, where the bugs cost me directly. It isn’t a demo or a prototype: it’s software in production with real consequences.
What happened
The business grew 37% year-over-year in the first half of 2026 — that growth comes from product, positioning and sales, not from the software.
What SimplePOS does prove is that I design, build and operate tools that hold up under the daily use of a real business.
SimplePOS also issues real electronic invoices under Costa Rica’s Hacienda v4.4 spec: XAdES digital signing, validated against the official XSDs. These are real invoices, accepted in production — not sandbox tests.
